Our single span trucking ramp is available in various stock sizes in lengths of up to 500 cm , however any length or width truck ramp can be manufactured,
The standard single span truck ramp offers two connection types, which are typically hook on or rest on.
The whole of the Ra`alloy Truck Ramps range taper to a point where it meets the ground so as to not leave any step and offer a clean, smooth walkway with no tripping hazards
These ramps are ideal as touring ramps, as they easily store flat and are great for unloading the truck, re-locating the ramp away from the vehicle and use it as a bridging ramp. Single span ramps have a recommended ceiling height to work at, although they can be used successfully at any height up to that ceiling. (see technical info for details)

Technical Information
Aluminium Construction - Our
portable truck ramps offer the ultimate in strength and rigidity. Manufactured from construction grade aluminium and designed to a standard that offers resistance to damage from the most robust use, while giving the user the best possible safety protection. The diagram below gives an idea of just some of the features that make our ramps the worlds No.1.
Anti Slip Floor - Ra`alloy Ramps anti slip flooring is virtually everlasting. Exclusive to Ra`alloy the floor has ribs that run across the width of the ramp for full forward walking traction and then the ribs are serrated to give full sideways traction. By incorporating our floor system into the ramps we can guarantee that the surface remains anti slip in most weather conditions, including snow and ice.
Side Stringer Details - Our standard duty truck ramps have a 10 cm deep side stringer which
the flooring sits approximately 5 cm below the top leaving a side rim which helps prevent accidental walk off. The thickness of the Stringers is 4.5 cm ) and this should be remembered when ordering as the size listed on or Stock Sizes table on the next tab is the maximum outside width and not the treadway.
The neck of the Stringer at the Rest On end is shaped to give maximum thickness at the point were the most load is taken were the ramp meets the truck. This ensures that that the ramp will not break as with other manufacturers ramps were there is only a single aluminium extrusion that connects to the truck. (please expand picture left)
Fixing - Rest On - Our Rest On connection offers the ultimate in design safety and practibility. The Stringer side sections continue to the end of the ramp and taper down. This is a great guide when unloading and wheeling or walking onto the ramp from the truck bed at times when visability is poor, such as wide equipment being unloaded. A Ram Bar is fixed to the underside and this locates against the rear of the truck or the buffer. Our Rest on end is designed to reach across most buffers and crash bars and land straight on the truck bed. Added security is given by a tie bar located below the ramp which can have strapping attached and tied to the rear of the truck (please expand picture right)
Hook On - Our Hook On top requires two 13 mm holes to be drilled into the edge of the truck. The ramp downs then simply drop into the holes. Hook On connection is restricted to use in the holes position unless multi holes are drilled
Load Testing - Ra`alloy Ramps priority's are user safety combined with immense strength and so all of our ramps are manufactured within the limits of independently load tested ramps. Ra`alloy were the first ramp manufacturer to introduce such testing as a standard and we chose Lloyds British Load Testing Ltd who are an independent testing body for many insurance companies. Our 500 cm long amps have a Safe Working Load of 750 kgs and this is increased as the ramp gets shorter.
Low Ground Clearance Machines - Our standard ramps are manufactured to suit an approximate incline of 18 degrees, which is great for standard Flight Cases and Meat Racks etc. Should the equipment you are loading have a ground clearance of 7.5 cm (3") or less then please contact us to discuss your requirement and we can test that your equipment will not ground out on our in - house model and advise the most suitable ramp.
Low Vertical Height Use
- Our standard ramps are manufactured to suit the height detailed in our stock sizes table and sit flat on the truck bed. They will also work at any height up to that although if you require a ramp that will sit flat at a lower or higher height, but longer or shorter than the recommended length please contact us

Safety Accessories and Other Features
Ra`alloy are always concerned with health and safety and to offer the best ramps available with the most stringent safety features and user preferances that outstrip any other ramp on the market.
Certain products such as Clip On Handrail, Carrying Handles and Anti Walk Off Boards can be purchased seperatly at a later date as all can be easily fitted to the ramp.

- Optional Punched Floor - Our world beating anti slip flooring can be punched to aid water displacement and also makes the handling weight slightly lighter
- Anti Walk Off Boards - Can be either slotted into holes that are drilled into the top of the side Stringer or fixed by hinging. These are a great safety feature as they are complete with Reflective tape for loading in poor visual conditions

- Clip On Handrails - lightweight aluminium handrails can simply be attached so that your ramp can be used safely for Public Access or any other reason. Seperate clamp brackets are simply attached to the side Stringers of the ramp and the handrail slots in.
